Connecting With Other Pastors
Today I feel like crap. Not spiritually, mentally but physically. I’m blaming Bryan Nelson who invited me to sit around the lunch table with some other area worship pastors for lunch yesterday….at Burger King.
What gives with that? Burger King? I love Bryan, met some new friends yesterday but…BK? He wanted fast, cheap, and easy. Hello??? Chick-fil-A?? Qdoba?? My lead pastor title had little authority in venue choice. In fact, it had none.
The company was awesome. Besides Bryan I met two other guys that we just connected with. And even though today I am paying dearly for the meal.
Full Disclosure: Bryan did buy my lunch so technically, this stomach ache is free. So I’ve got that going for me.

BK….ugghh…i dont mind their food but the service in the place is horrible. I know its fast food but i dont want it thrown at me with a scowl..I’ll never give those people another cent
I often find that when I suggest places other than BK, McDonald’s, Wendy’s or Taco Bell, people are fearful to stray away from these known commodities. They be playing it safe. There are so many better places than the corporate fast food giants!
You knew I’d eventually see this. Are you saying your stomach is a wussy thin lined sorry excuse for fueling your body? OK, I’ve taken you to Burger King twice. The best part about Burger King, is talking about The King. The second best part is the food.
By the way, I’m sending you the bill for the two supersize meals you ordered. And you left your extra large shake in my car. Don’t worry, I got a refill for you.
Totally agree. Why BK when Chick Fil A is available?
Bryan, my appreciation and admiration for your talent is well-documented.
Your memory of the actual events, however, is something to be questioned.
Besides that – I don’t think a large shake could fit in your car. Don’t you drive a Yaris or something like that?
For the rest of the G Sides crew – Bryan is another great metro kind of worship leader.
