Drugged Out

For months I had this nagging, hack cough. I finally caved in and went to the doctor… a new doctor. I talked about that experience here. (For which I received so much sympathy…thank you, really…no, I meant it.)

Any rate – his prognosis worked. No cough. At least when I remember to take my medicine – Zyrtec. That’s right – my allergy medicine.

Here’s the problem I’m running into. I’m supposed to take it at night but when I do – it does something to my system to keep my awake for the next few hours. Last night – up till 3 am. Just lying there.

This morning…I’m walking around like I’m hung over – at least that’s what I think hung over would feel like according to all the in depth reports I got from Wayne. Normally, it’s not that extreme but if I’ve had any caffeine after lunch AND take a Zyrtec – that will do it. The only thing I can figure out is the cup of iced tea I had last night.

Off to find something meaningful to keep me awake.
