Black Friday was actually White

We went skiing today. (Thank you Granddad and Mame!!!)

Yes, it was crowded.

Yes, there weren’t that many lifts or runs open.

Yes, it was a little chilly but not unbearable.

But not one time did I hear my kids say – “Ohhhh…I want that!”

Instead we laughed, played in the snow, and are now back home playing.

A great new tradition.

  1. I would prefer a day on the slopes to shopping any day! What a great alternative…just wish WE had the Rockies at our back door. Somehow, the “mountains” over here just seem to make me laugh.

what a great tradition – we’ve gone skiing in CO on a couple of ThG. weeks – fun, but not a great ‘ski experience’ — in fact, one year i broke my leg on an ‘ice skid.’

anyway- your turkey looked great and it sounds like you had a terrific time w/ friends and family.
