Thoughts on Rox
If you’d told me that the Rockie pitching staff would have held the Red Sox to 5 hits…I’d taken it.
But 5 hits plus 5 2-out walks equals 2 runs + ice cold bats = Red Sox win.
It was a tense game and for the most part well played.
Matt, Matt, Matt – you go 4 for 4 with a rocket up the middle that about decapitates Papelbon then somehow goes daydreaming towards second to get picked off. We still love you, brother.
Back to Coors Field on Saturday night. I still think the Rox can win it.

You’re first prediction was right…it’s gonna be a sweep alright if the bats don’t get swinging immediately.
And I’m not talking to Matt right now.
Ok Red Sox Nation – who freaking cares if you sing a Neil Diamond Song in the 8th inning – when the Rockies bats wake up – and they will – your pitchers will be standing at the plate in Coors Field looking like they just got out of T-Ball. Hey Foxsports – quit glorifying the second highest paid team in the game and pay attention to what is really going on. Rocks – time to knock Papelbon on his papelbon! Go Rockies!
good news for rocks, dice k is pitching and its at coors field. but, this series is turning out like last year where the long layoff killed the tigers. at least the rockies spent time watching the tom emanski defensive drills video.

Hmmm….Sox on Rox…sounds like a Dr Seuss game…but the Rockies will get theirs soon enough. I’ve wrongly predicted the scores thus far, but I do still hold that Hawpe gets the first Rockie longball in game 3 against dice-k…and the Rockies will take at least 2 of 3 in Colorado, sending it back to Fenway…for cryin in a bucket…enough of these World Series sweeps or one win battles…I’d like it to at least go 6 or 7 games…
