Ache, I tells ya. Sports purgatory is a matter of perpective. In baseball though, every one of those games do indeed count. Take the final week of the season - this year it will be soooo sweet to see the Yankees miss the wild card by a game or watch the Giants twist in the wind in the NL West. Yes - it is a long season - but then, for those of us who love a long after noon at the ball yard - November to April can be such a long, long, long, longggggggggggggg winter. Selah.
