if a long message can eliminate the need for a LOOOOONG conversation, i’m all for it. if i can listen, compile my response and leave it in a message rather than spend wasted time on chit/chat – then i’m fine with it.

if, on the other hand, it is just mindless rambling, then yeah … male or female, it’s just a waste of good air time.

i think it is always a tricky business to gender-type behaviors. but that’s just me and i’m a woman, so there it is ……

ok. i’m really just trying to leave the longest blog comment. how am i doin?

Jill – your boss talks alot. I can see the potential for an extremely long message with him.

Kayla – we love you dearly. But we don’t always listen to the entire message.

ok…here’s my two cents. i beg to differ that it’s only men – i have a father and brother and a boss (who you know) who are VERY good at leaving long messages…and me too. it has to do with processing thoughts as you’re talking. yes, it might be better if we shortened and said, ‘gimme a call’, but then no one would mock us for it!

so no…it’s not only women. just so you know.

(i think that fell into the ‘long comment’ criteria…?)
