NFL Wild-Card Weekend
Enough mourning over the Broncos…time to enjoy the festival that is the NFL Playoffs.
Saturday Games
LJ versus the vaunted, invisible defense of the Colts. Much will be said about how LJ will run for 200 yards – blah, blah, blah. Here’s all you gotta know about this game. Herm Edwards is coaching, Trent Green is starting, it’s in a dome, and the Chiefs will be wearing the white unis. Colts are going to blow them out of the water.
It’s not so much a ringing endorsement of the Colts but Herm Edwards has a way of out-coaching himself. I also think he’s forgotten that he’s got arguably the NFL’s best tight end on his team. The Chiefs this year get into panic mode to quick and abandon the run. I’m guessing that will happen in the RCA Dome.
Does anyone really care about this game? It’s too bad that the NFC had to have 6 teams. You gotta know that half the AFC is going – IF ONLY WE WERE IN THE NFC.
Watching Dallas has been like watching lemmings. You just know they are going off the cliff but it’s so much fun to watch. The big question is will TO catch a cold or a ball first in the wet, cold weather of the Northwest. The Seahawks are healthy – finally. The Cowboys are in self-destruct mode. It makes complete sense to pick the Seahawks.
That’s the problem – nothing in the NFL this year has made sense. So, while I hate this pick – I think either team could win or completely get blown out – I’m going with the Seahawks because of Shaun Alexander.
What I don’t get about this game is why Belichick hates Mangini? I know Mangini left the Pats to coach a division rival but isn’t that exactly what Belichick did when he left the Jets? And he left as HEAD COACH! Not as an assistant to a Head Coach Position. Either Belichick is a monster sized hypocrite or we’re missing something in the translation.
As far as the match-up goes – while I love the JETS – can they beat the Pats twice? In Foxboro? With the Patsies playing so well right now? Can the Jets offense keep up with the Patsies offense? This might be the best game of the weekend. I’m taking the Pats but I’m rooting for the JETS.
Who Cares Bowl II. Is there anything positive going on with the Giants? I hate the Giants and the circus they’ve become. I don’t like Coughlin but you have to wonder why the heck would anyone WANT to coach in NY? The egos are just…ridiculous. Besides that – this is a beat up and bad football team.
Take the ‘Birds.
That’s wildcard weekend. Let’s hope I do better this year than last.

i would never question belichick, because he is a genius and of course mangini is the mangenius. its all part of the game, nothing personal. the giants are hte most disappointing team, the hate their coach and each other, but they could be the most talented team in the nfc. oo, and i cant believe your not on the herm edwards bus!. theres more room than the mike martz train.
Cowboys….I care. Just sorry they aren’t doing better this year. Go Cowboys!
